Cosmo's Magic Theater! (click to go to website)
This is my latest GREAT Find! A longtime fan of magic theater, magicians and all things related, this is among the top shows I've ever seen and it's in the local area! Don't miss the action and oppurtinity to meet a true "Pueblo" magician. Epic Entertainment! 701, S. Pueblo Boulevard. The name says it all, "Epic!" This is a great place to have a good time with friends and family that offers lots to do in an outdoor environments. The owner had generously worked with schools and clubs to help with fundraisers. It is due to this outstanding effort with the community that this business has made my list as a Gem of Pueblo!

Impossible Playhouse, 1201 North Main Street!
This fantastic Building alone is amazing. The gift of live performance in such a historic setting is a bonus and will give you goose-bumps. Make sure you catch a performance and experience the atmosphere that will be worth your money! The Pueblo Ghost Walk! (click title to go to website) Every year the Ghosts come out in Pueblo for an exciting, spectacular event: The Historical Ghost Walk!! I decided to make this event a GEM of Pueblo because it adds value and inspiration to the community and it's just plain fun! I've been doing the walk for eight years, and every year there's more people and more stories to tell. It's a great time to enjoy history and watch the portrayals from people that are your neighbors! I hope the organizers keep up the good work and I can't wait to hear the stories next year. The Steel City Theatre Company is located at 241 S. Sante Fe Avenue Across from the Historic Riverwalk. This theatre has a Great Concept and Vision. After seeing multiple shows in the past year, it is clear that this is definitely a place where creativity and inspiration meet. When you are looking for something fun to do whether it's with family or going on a date, this dinner theatre is a great option and always sure to entertain. I applaud the efforts of those who keep it going and look forward to enjoying many more performances! Weisbrod Aircraft Museum!
Out of all the achievements Humankind has aspired too, none has compared to the desire to soar upon the wind and fly through the air. The incredible ingenuity and imagination, the will, spirit and constant perseverance of those who have managed to fly is celebrated at the Weisbrod Aircraft Museum.
Along with the fantastic display of flying machines is the salute to the American spirit of Freedom and Bravery as most of the aircraft displayed are military aircraft. The Museum is a magnificent display that will be enjoyed by all generations. The staff, mostly volunteers, furthers the enjoyment and many have great stories to tell. The unique atmosphere of aircraft and personality of the volunteers blends together and makes this a special place in Pueblo. As a fellow veteran and aviator, it is my pleasure to name this as a Gem of Pueblo and add it to my collections of sites that add inspiration and value to the community. Skate City! "Get up off of that thing!" For those of you who grew up in the 80’s, you remember the place I’m about to describe as “Stardust” and not “Skate City.” The name itself inspired us to want to go there. It was a fun place to meet up with friends and skate with girls, who for some reason, always knew how to skate better than me. Roller skating is part of our American culture and tradition. What better way to pass the time then to get out on a pair of skates on a hard surface and rock to the tunes the DJ plays! Unforgiving, this sport can be painful to learn but the feeling of freedom you get when you’re able to glide along the shiny surface is amazing. Exercise and indoor fun. Skate City is a great value to our community and gives us an exciting option of things to do. With a snack bar, games, and a great selection of music, I always enjoy going there. Buells Children's Musuem Located at 210 Sante Fe Avenue, the Buell Children’s Musuem is unparalleled for inspiring imagination and creativity. The center is the perfect place to get kids involved with the interactive displays. We all know that the best way to learn is “hands on” and there’s never a shortage of stuff to create, build or games to play. They even have an area dedicated to reading! The magic carpet theatre often has local talent on display and adds to the overall value and fun. For lunch, I like to eat at Franco’s Bistro and enjoy a menu and quality adults and kids can appreciate. I must admit, at first I was skeptical as this is not the normal food you find at a place for family and kids. Try the food and it’ll change your mind! In addition to the center, The Family Theatre Series is a spectacular value for the great programs they hold every year. I can find no greater value in Pueblo for live entertainment that inspires positive imagination! This place is a Gem of Pueblo! |
